Matina & Son Inc. was founded in 1974 by Antonio Matina & Frank Matina. Father & son were both immigrants of Italy and started in business with just one single pickup performing small tasks such as steps, sidewalks and patio's. In 1976 the business expanded and purchased a rubber tire backhoe, a small trailer and a dump truck.

During this time they hired a few employees and started servicing the commercial, and municipal fields installing curbs & sidewalks and constructing concrete retaining walls.

In 1993 Anthony Matina son of Frank Matina joined the company full time driving a dump truck and operating equipment. In 1996 Anthony Matina had a different vision of the construction industry and  started to bid on other types of work such as complete site development. With a growing work load Matina & Son  purchased numerous pieces of equipment and vehicles to support the work load. Matina expanded it's services from light & general construction to heavy construction.

Matina & Son  has grown a reputation of being one of north jersey's most diversified contractors. Matina & Son is known to be the “go to company”. No matter the size of the project or the complex of the project Matina & Son is always up to the challenge. Matina & Son performs all projects in a safe and timely manner.  Matina & Son is known to be responsive, to whatever situation may arise.
